I have Adobe illustrator for my laptop and my iPad and whenever I open a file or start a new file after a little while the app was just crashed. It will sometimes work for a little bit, but then it will crash. I don't know what's causing the problem I need help please. I don't know if it has to do with my Apple Pencil or not , so far, I have removed the app and restart my iPad and then reinstall illustrator on my iPad and it did not help with the crash issue

my email is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi @james_snider8473,

I'm sorry to hear about the crashing issue you're facing with Adobe Illustrator on your iPad. Let’s work together to resolve this. Could you please provide the following details to help us understand the situation better?

1. The version of Illustrator installed on your iPad.

2. The iPad model and iPadOS version you’re using.

3. Your iPad’s specifications (storage capacity, available free space, etc.).

It’s also worth checking out these community threads, where other users have faced similar issues and shared possible solutions:

Additionally, this helpx article offers some troubleshooting steps that might help resolve the issue.

Let me know how it goes after trying the suggestions or if you encounter any specific errors. I’m here to assist!

Hello @james_snider8473,

Thanks for sharing the details. Would you mind confirming if the steps shared earlier helped resolve the problem? If not, kindly share the crash report so that we can investigate this further:

  • Open iPad Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data. You will see file names like “Illustrator-2024-01-03-083327.ips” (2024-01-03 is the date in the log, and 083327 is the time). Look at the timestamp to ensure you share the recent log file after the crash.
  • Upload the file to a file-sharing service and share a link to the file here or via DM.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
