Adobe Illustrator: unable to use any tools

Does anyone know if there is a button that I may have accidentally pressed? All of a sudden I can not use any of the tools, not even select any objects on my canvas. I can select buttons from the toolbars but any tool that is selected has no effect when I touch the anything on my canvas. Is there a lock button somewhere? I am using Adobe Illustrator on 4th gen iPad. Thanks 🙏

Hi KengDoja,

Selecting objects and using the tools requires the Apple Pencil. You can use your finger as you observed for the toolbars, but any actions on the canvas must be done with the Pencil.
