ARABIC language URGENT FIX Needed on ipad

I would like bring to your the importance of this matter, as per the link mentioned below, there was and still an issue with arabic text creating in illustrator ipad version, please refer to the photo uploaded to see how the arabic text is getting created verses how it supposed to look normally.

this matter is affecting our creation process in your app due to the importance of arabic text usage in most of our work.

recently i shifted from pc usage to ipad exclusively to work on adobe illustrator on the go, spending 1600USD on the device and a monthly subscription to find an issue with arabic text, this will be a very negative impact on my work, clients, and future.

kindly note that this matter was brought to this community vote section since two years, but there was no reply nor an action taken to get this issue fixed.

i hope to hear from you as soon as possible, with a time line for the fix, would be beneficial for many of us to know how we take our next step, to stay on ipad or return back to desktop till an update.

    I'm glad you brought this matter up. We do feel sad that the Arabic issue with Photoshop on the iPad was attended to earlier while the Illustrator team are not giving this matter any attention whatsoever. Usually, important topics like this one are marked as "Under Review" at least, and then updates are frequently added to the Bug Report.

      If you've been waiting for two years I'd be going back to the desktop version if it works correctly there!

      Do what you can on the iPad on the go, but do the extra things which work on desktop over on the different device.

      Also consider where the original post on uservoice was made. It would possibly be best listed as a bug because it's not working correctly rather than a feature request.

      You missed the points in my post.

      1- adobe has a product (illustrator ipad) that is missing an important feature for arabic community.

      2- illustrator ipad on a go is more useful for me and many designers than PC, that way we can meet customers outside the office

      3- i already paid so much on the ipad mainly to use illustrator on it, to find out that arabic typing isnt supported as well as the pc.

      4- *and most importantly* this issue has been posted since 2 years and there is no reply from any official adobe staff.

       

      my point is not to get someone to say go back to pc, my point is to get the attention of adobe official staff to see our request hence the post from 2 years back.

      or and someone here in the community can reach adobe directly to bring the importance of it directly.

      eventually we need a fix rather than a conflict of opinions.

        These forums are generally responded to by other users, so often if it's not a 'how to use the software issue' we can't do much to assist.

        The post on the UserVoice page should definitely have had more activity than it has in 2 years.

        My suggestion to continue using the Desktop version was simply in reference to your last line "or return back to desktop till an update."
        It's definitely not the best solution, and you should by now be able to use the iPad for all aspects, assuming it's an easy thing to code.

        Adobe doesn't give timelines for when something might be implemented because they want to be able to work on a feature until 'they think it is' complete before releasing it.
        If you can write in Arabic on the iPad but it's not turning out correctly that to me is more of a bug than a feature request. Hence my suggestion to list it as a Bug, because they might see a feature request and think, we've done it and not look any further. If you add it as a Bug that should get some attention more quickly.

        Two years is too long to be waiting for a bug to get fixed, but not necessarily too long for a feature to be added. If that makes sense.
