Can’t edit text

After creating a text box I can't figure out how to edit text. The keyboard doesn't pop up. I've looked at the in app and online help and that didn't help. I attached a screen recording. 
On an iPad.

I’m really sorry you’re having trouble editing text in Illustrator on your iPad—this can definitely be frustrating! I understand how important it is to get your text work done smoothly.

 

It seems like the issue could be related to the text tool or perhaps a setting on the device. Here are a few things to check:

 

1. Tap on the Type Tool (the “T” icon) and then double-tap inside the text box. This should bring up the keyboard for you to edit.

3. Sometimes, the on-screen keyboard might not pop up due to device settings. A quick look at your iPad’s keyboard settings might help resolve that.

4. It may help to close and reopen Illustrator on your iPad or restart your iPad to see if the issue clears up.
