Can you build organic shapes and detect gaps in iPad illustrator app

Is there a gap detection option in the adobe illustrator app? I often use the shape builder tool on my desktop and play with the gap detection options. Trying to create organic shapes within my drawings that I can fill with gradients on the new illustrator app.
