Cannot sign into Illustrator app on iPad

When I try to sign into the Illustrator app on my iPad, which I have done before successfully, I am prompted with the Authenticator app to select the correct # out of 3, which I do, then I go back to the Illustrator app and nothing happens. I have tried all my other apps such as Photoshop,  Express, and Lightroom - I could sign in and work just fine. So this is absolutely an app issue.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble signing into Illustrator on your iPad. It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the authentication process. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Illustrator app on your iPad?
Note: Before doing this, please check all your files are synced on CC https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents

 

Also, ensure both Illustrator & authenticator apps are updated, and your iPad is updated to the latest iPadOS.

 

If this doesn't help, would you mind sharing a screen recording of the issue and confirming the iPad model & generation?
