Converting text to an object ready to distort - is this possible on illustrator for ipad?

I am trying to enable envelope distort for text but can't see the option on the ipad iteration - is it available yet or will it be possible in a future update?

Thanks for reaching out. This feature is not available in Illustrator on the iPad yet, however, we're working on it. I'd request that if you could take out a moment and upvote this feature request here (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/931888-illustrator-ipad-feature-requests/suggestions/41734666-envelope-distort-for-vector-shapes-groups-text). This way you will keep getting all the updates related to this feature and more votes would help to prioritize.

In the meanwhile, the document from iPad syncs automatically to the desktop, so you can use the desktop Ai to use these features.
