Question

Drawing shapes of specific sizes

May I know if it is possible to create a rectangle/square/circle just by keying in the dimensions?

Right now, the only way (as far as I know!) is to click and drag on the screen and keep track of the Width/Height dialogue box.

You can start the shape with the click and drag, then if you go across to Properties you can Transform the size by changing the numbers in the width, height, x/y positions and rotation.

Thanks for your reply, Sjanni.

I was hoping that there is an option to just click anywhere on the artboard and key in the dimensions, like how it is done on the desktop version.

You can make a feature request to Adobe:

  • Click the gear in the upper right
  • App Settings
  • Help
  • Support
  • Suggest an improvement
  • Illustrator (iPad) Feature Requests

Or use this direct link:

It's a great idea!
