I have imported an image into my illustrator on my iPad and I am trying to identify the pantone colors. I am struggling to find anything helpful for the ipad app. Is it possible to select a color and it give you the closest pantone color?

Pantone has removed themselves from Adobe applications.

They are now available as a subscription directly from Pantone as add-on software called Pantone Connect. I've found it in the iPad App Store, but have not downloaded it and can't vouch for it.

The blurb does say it's free while under development.

That is something you can do on the desktop version of Illustrator using the Recolor Artwork feature, which is not available on the iPad. But, you can easily open the Illustrator cloud file on the desktop, select the art, and open Recolor Artwork. From there, choose the Pantone book library you want to use in the Color Library menu. This finds the closest matches in the library for the colors in the artwork.
