How do fonts work between files created on computer and edited on iPad?

Question

Trying to see if I could get away with using Illustrator on my ipad to edit illustrator files on the fly. I have a lot of font files on my iMac. How does the ipad handle fonts? Is there any way to simply install the same fonts that are on my iMac on my ipad? Or would only Adobe fonts work or something like that? Just trying to understand how closely illustrator on my ipad could mimic a macbook. Thanks

When you tap on the down arrow to select a font one of the options is Your fonts. If you have a license for the fonts you can add them to the Creative Cloud and they should then be available on the iPad.
