Illustrator on iPad Knock Out Transparent Hole

I want the knock out a transparent hole from my multi-layer for picture placement. (Pink to transparent.) Remove Front didn't work. Do they to be the same layer or on different ones? Is that even achievable in mobile AI?

And what happens when you try? Unfortunately you have cut off the Layers panel.

Sorry. It doesn't show any change. Does it have to be vector over vector, or can it be vector over raster?  The first ss is v/r, second v/v many layers. My research does not solve it. Normally an easy operation.

You have to cut through all of the objects one by one.

The one in the bottom is what? A repeat? That needs to be expanded first.
