Illustrator on iPad not working

Hi, I've been using illustrator on my iPad for a while now and it's all of a sudden stopped working. I can navigate around the app itself and create a new artboard but it won't allow me to use any of the tools?

Hi! I just had the same issue and it turned out to be that I had way too many apps and tabs open, so my memory was affected. I closed everything I wasn't using out and restarted the app and it worked great. Hope this helps!

Do you have an Apple Pencil, and are you trying to use your fingers for the tools?

Please describe more clearly what happens when you say it "won't allow me to use any of the tools." Are you selecting a tool, like the brush or pencil, and it is selected and options are available, but you cannot draw? Or are you not able to select from the toolbar at all?

The same thing just happened to me. I tried using the shape tool it nothing is happening. Even when i use the selection tool to select somrthing it stops working.

Has there been an update to either Ai or the iPadOS which was done between when it worked and now when it doesn't work any more?
Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the app?
