Question

Illustrator performance in a M2 iPad?

Just wondering how Illustrator optimized to perform on the ipad OS? I'm using Illustrator on the latest M2 iPad Pro, with 16gig ram, and not sure it's a huge performance boost over my previous 2018 iPad which only had 4gb ram.

Maybe the Illustrator isn't really built to take advantage of the M2 and/or 16gb ram configuration? For comparison, I know that on Mac OS, not all graphics programs can actually use the multi cores, like InDesign and Illustrator for example, so having a high end Mac doesn't necessarily makes those programs go any faster.

Hello @bobtem,

Thanks for reaching out. Illustrator on the iPad is optimized for the best experience on the iPad Pro with the Apple M2 processor. Would you mind sharing more details about your workflow and specific pain points, also including the exact model of the iPad, the iPadOS version, the version of Illustrator installed, and a screen recording of the problem, so we can check this with the product team?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I already said what model I'm using, and what difference would all those other details make? Are you suggesting that there's some setting I could change based on my "exact specifications " that would change anything? Who has time to tinker with a bunch deep specs? The software should know what's best for it's own performance. I though Adobe apps were "smart"?
