Illustrator performance on M2 iPad?

Just wondering if Illustrator is optimized for performance on the ipad OS? I'm using Illustrator on the latest M2 iPad Pro, with 16gig ram, and not sure it's a huge performance boost over my previous 2018 iPad which only had 4gb ram. Not sure if the issue is software or hardware, but I've got the best hardware there is, and Illustrator doesn't seem to run much faster than on a five year old iPad.

Maybe Illustrator for iPad isn't really built to take advantage of the M2 and/or 16gb ram configuration? For comparison, I know that on Mac OS, not all graphics programs can actually use the multi cores, like InDesign and Illustrator for example, so having a high end Mac doesn't necessarily makes those programs go any faster.
