Hi, on the Ipad 5th you can download Adobe Illustrator, right?

From the help page:

"Illustrator on the iPad is compatible on any iPad that supports Apple Pencil. For the best experience, Apple Pencil is recommended."

So ipad 5 doesn't support adobe illustrator, because it doesn't support apple pencil until ipad 6. 👎👎👎

It's not the Apple Pencil itself that is driving the change. Apple made a change to the display/screen hardware on iPads. The Apple Pencil 2 (and Illustrator for iPad) only work on the newer iPads that have these changes.

Saying that Illustrator only works on iPads that support the Apple Pencil 2 is just a way to identify the iPads that will run Illustrator. You do not need the Apple Pencil itself to use Illustrator — you only need an iPad that has the hardware changes.
