IPad Illustrator won’t save

I started using Illustrator IPad version and while I'm working it won't save my work progress. I keep making changes to my illustration but changes are not being saved. 

Is this a major bug and can this be solved?

    like i just spent 2 hours doing a site plan for it to be deleted instantly because of this issue....

    Just had the same thing happen to me last night 😞 I completed a whole project only to exit out and lose it all. When I tried editing and closing again I noticed a red message pops up with "This file could not be saved" and same would happen when I tried to to delete it. 

     

    I'm way more used to Illustrator on my Ipad, so I ended up going on my computer and making a copy of the file on there (By saving as rather then duplicating) then opening that file on my Ipad and then I was able to save, edit and work on it no problem. Just so confused why the issue happened in the first place? Also would've been nice to get that "This file cannot be saved message" before you start working on the file

    I'm also having issues saving with Illustrator for iPad.

    neber had this issue with desktop version and I really enjoy the easier shortcuts on the iPad abd being able to hand draw so easily. 
    But I'm having issues with being able to save files & reopen. Either they save at a HUGE MB for no reason, or crashes Illustrator when I save. SVG crashes sometimes, JPG did as well. 
    it randomly decides how it wants to save I've been saving to iPad desktop/USB and cloud. 
    I turned off the background save preferences for save and export on the desktop to see if that effects it on my iPad.

    im disappointed because I was very excited to be able to be more mobile with work. But al it did was slow my progress and production down to a halt this whole week.

    What solutions are there? Is this a bug? I've reinstalled, I've tried to troubleshoot the issues.

    Same here. I need to continue my work on my Mac Book, but the iPad version is unsaved. There should be a way to save it manually, right? If not, you NEED to impliment it right away. This is one of a million examples why the user should ALWAYS be able to intervene into the process. Automation is fine and needed but in the end the User needs to control the machine. Not the other way around. 

    I can't continue my work now and somehow have to explain it to my client. Please fix it. ASAP.

    I am having this issue too. It makes illustrator on the ipad unusable. I started a file on illustrator on the ipad and the saving wheel of death has been gonig for over 10 minutes now with no escape. Adobe: is there a workaround?

      this is very frustrating, I just lost my work twice! 

      please solve this issue, otherwise this app makes no sense at all.

        The only solution I've figured out is to back out every few mins or so to let the doc auto save. It's annoying, but not as annoying as losing hours of work TWICE now 😓

        I experience this intermittently.  This has been going on since the app was released.  Multiple users both in this forum and the app store have experienced this.  Is the cloud sync just not working properly?

        I'm having the same issue!  I did a ton of work, but it saved a previous version when I opened it today.  I can't seem to recover all the work I did! 😞
