I was wondering the same thing! Except on the iPad version. Those pop ups just get in the way when using the Apple Pencil.

I understand how the gray width/height box overlay can be distracting when you're drawing shapes. Fortunately, you can turn it off to streamline your workspace.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Go to Illustrator > Preferences > Smart Guides & Slices (on a Mac) or Edit > Preferences > Smart Guides & Slices (on Windows).
  2. In the Preferences window, find the section for Smart Guides.
  3. Look for the option labeled "Show Measurement Labels" and uncheck it.

This should hide the gray overlay and allow you to work more comfortably.

Here’s a screenshot for reference:

I hope this helps! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

Hello @jenhintz, @jeff.welborn@gmail.com,

Illustrator on the iPad currently lacks this functionality. Would you mind creating a UserVoice for this feature request (https://adobe.ly/3H6mLR0) and adding your comments there? Doing this will help us prioritize this request, and you will be notified of any updates.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
