Network connection message on Illustrator

When I try accessing my Illustrator app, I get a message saying "Please check your network connection and try again.". My connection is not the problem, anyone know how to solve this?! Help! 😞

In the Preferences window, navigate to the File Handling tab & uncheck the option for "Optimize File Open and Save Time on Slow Networks" to remedy this issue.
