Tools and icons are unusable in Illustrator on iPad

Hi Adobe community I have download iPad illustrator. But a lot of my tools and icons are unusable and I can't select them does any one know why this is?

all tools should be selectable (not grayed out)..

some options are grayed out untill you select something related, for example

combine shapes are grayed untill you select 2 objects at least.

can i see a screenshot?
