update removed brush stroke smoothing ?

just updated today and the brush feels very different

after finishing a line it would automatically smooth out after - now it doesn't 

tried to increase "smoothing" and all it does is make the brush slower
urgently need to finish a project, please someone help, thank you !

    I posted about this same issue last night. When I up the smoothness, it's becomes so slow and actually crashes the app. Before I only needed it on like.. 5ish to work? Now I'm having to bump it up to 70+ and it's so slow. Was in the middle of a HUGE project, too. So, I'm in panic mode.
