Thank you for all your replies -

It is working fine on the location machine, . It is just not working when opened from SMB shares (working of from MacOS Big Sur 11.x), few more issues that we are having -

Once you open indesign file (from the network SMB share)- the log file ("idlk" ) and TestFile will be generated before even closing it.

(Please note: Opening the files from windows machine from the same network SMB share it works just fine)

P.S :

- we tried the other options from the KB which did not work.

-we have enlarged that error screenshot attached - doesnt give much info. It just says

Background Task Alert

1 problem (1 failure) was found with a background task

Export "INDTEST.pdf" (1)

Failed to export the PDF file

Hi @Binny25572692twmf , what’s the listed error? Toggle the arrow in order to get the details.

Try exporting the first half of the pages. For example, 1- 40 pages, export only 1-20.

See if the result is the same.

Then try 21-40

Whatever side it falls on that it fails you can keep halving to find the issue page.

Once you find the page, it might be an image, a text frame, or something that is preventing the PDF.

You'll need to remove items to see where it is failing.

Did you preflight the file before exporting? You can see if there are any conflicts in the file.
