100 Character Limit in Combo Box List Options

Good day InDesign Community

The problem I am encountering and do not know how to resolve is: I'm experiencing a 100 character limit in a form document I am creating in InDesign 15.1.1.

For some form elements, I need to create a multiple choice dropdown list (using the Combo box form element option in InDesign). Some of these options, have a charcter lenght of much more than 100 characters, so I'm finding those longer options are cut off, to 100 characters, and I cannot input any more text.

This is in a placeholder that spans the A4 page. Is there a way to increase the combo box form element character limit for the individual list items?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

InDesign never have all the features for PDF-form creation. If you can't find something about form creation in InDesign then try to do this through Adobe Acrobat.

Remember, never say you can't do something in InDesign, it's always just a question of finding the right workaround to get the job done. © David Blatner

Acrobat doesn't allow more than 100 characters either. This answer is incorrect.
