Hi everyone,

I have a book to print but I need to have a full-bleed in the middle of each double page of 10 cm.

So every left page should have 5 cm of full-bleed to the right and every right page should have 5cm of full-bleed on the left.

How can I settle on the same document two different full-bleed? I looked in "templates" but impossible to create a single full-bleed for each template. Any ideas ?

Thank you...

5 cm (2") is a much larger bleed than any book printer would need, are you sure you have the correct amount. How will the book be bound?

With facing page documents that require an inside bleed, the bleed is added from the export or print dialog:

The exported pages get an inside bleed if has been spec'd in the export dialog.

Here AcrobatPro showing spread view where the green line indicates the trim:

The only binding method that would require you to split the pages and manually add an inside bleed would be Wire-O where the pages's inside edges are trimmed and visible.

Good catch Rob. Sounds like it should be around 5 mm.

Set the file up as facing pages, and then follow the instructions in this article to separate the pages while keeping the left- and right-hand orientation

But you really shouldn't be doing that for any binding where the signatures are folded and gathered (i.e. saddle stitch, perfect bound, smyth sewn). The inside bleed will get removed when the printer imposes the pages.
