508 Compliance for VECTOR objects in InDesign?

This has stumped me for years and I cannot find an answer. I have all my vector graphics (made in AI CC... logos, maps, charts, graphs, etc) tagged with the ALT text yet none of it ever comes through in the PDF. Raster images work fine. What am I missing? Thanks.

I think you are missing CC 2018 version of InDesign.

Please update and try the same with latest InDesign

Wrong... just downloaded CC 2018... does not work. Your link specifies "native" objects. I am talking about, if you read my description carefully, ILLUSTRATOR objects.
