A copied file carried over resolved pdf comments into the new file. How do I strip them out?

I can’t delete the note icons. I can get them to temporarily disappear but they always come back. They are a carryover from the file I copied so I could use the same styles and formatting. I saved it as an .idml file but that didn’t take care of the issue.

Did you try opening the comments panel and resolving the comments? Was this an InDesign file or did you import it from a PDF?
