A Drawing Error Occured

I'm exporting an interactive pdf from InDesign that has Apple Emoji fonts but some of them aren't showing up and I'm getting a 'A Drawing Error Occured' message. When I remove the emojis the pdf renders just fine. Why are the emojis causing a problem? My GPU is compatible with the programs. HELP!

    Perhaps Apple don't allow their emojis to be embedded into PDFs.

    Have you tried turning them to outlines to test?
