Hi @rolf_7722,

I'm sorry to hear that the issue is still persisting even after resetting preferences. Could you please confirm the exact version of InDesign 2025 you're using and also share the details of your operating system?

It would really help if you could describe when exactly the app is crashing, does it happen right at launch, or while using a specific tool or applying an effect?

If possible, please also try testing the issue in Safe Mode to rule out any third-party plugins that might be causing the crash. Reference:
Windows: https://adobe.ly/4kAZ4OY
macOS: https://adobe.ly/40h80li

Additionally, does the crash happen with all older files or only with certain ones? If it's specific, could you let me know which version those files were originally created in?

When the crash occurs, do you see the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog? If so, please make sure to submit the report and share the email address you used (feel free to DM it), so I can check the logs and investigate further. Reference: https://adobe.ly/40glQEq

In the meantime, I'd also recommend trying the steps mentioned here to troubleshoot crashes on launch: https://adobe.ly/3TA3rPh

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Try resetting your preferences:

InDesign 19.3 and newer go to Preferences > General > and click on "Reset Preferences on Quit" and then quit and restart.

Or
Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
