Hey community,

im having a frustrating problem with indesign, i want to use action buttons to benefit from the rollover effect so ppl would know they had something to interact with. unfortunately, the "goto URL" only works with normal websites while gdrive links wont work at all for some reason. only way for them to work is if i use a hyperlink, thus lose the rollover effect. im exporting it as an interactive PDF and used adobe reader and chorme, still the same issue.

Is there a way for me to have the action button open my gdrive links with ease ?

Correct answer Bahgatov

as i tested it again to export you a preview, i found out that its my mistake. i didnt notive that the link was disappearing when i added the rollover effect, so to solve it i made the style of the button and later added the link and its working fine. thanks anyway 👍

Found it:

But it's the same as what doesn't work for you...

Are your files on Gdrive public or require "acceptance" / access to be granted?

the gdrive files are not public and require a sharable link, it works if its created as a hyperlink not as an action button. ill try to attach a sample file to better explain it.

There was a similar thread recently - the solution was to add click as an additional behavior.
