Add audio to run throughout 'Publish online' Interactive PDF

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to create a presentation / deck featuring one continuous audio track playing seamlessly across all pages.

I currently have a 10-page PDF designed in InDesign, and I want the audio to play continuously without stopping or restarting as viewers navigate between pages.

I've managed to add the mp3 file into Indesign and publish online, but it stops after the viewer clicks to the next page. 

My goal is to publish this presentation online, but I'm also open to other solutions, perhaps Epub. 

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for this. 

I did consider using PowerPoint, but before diving into the whole Microsoft route, do you happen to know if it's possible to publish a presentation in PowerPoint with an mp3 file  without converting it into a video/mp4? Basically, I'm looking for a way to allow viewers to navigate through slides at their own pace.

Publish Online and Interactive PDF are two completely different formats. You're not likely to get this to work in either one without some very serious workarounds. Have you considered Powerpoint?

I tested this on Publish Online and noticed that the audio stops when moving to the next page, as Publish Online reloads each page separately. As far as I know, continuous audio playback across pages isn’t supported, but I'll check with the product team to confirm.

Thanks for your patience! I checked with the product team, and they confirmed that each page in a Publish Online document is treated as a separate HTML page. This means that audio playback stops when navigating to a new page, as activities on one page do not persist to the next.

Currently, continuous audio playback across pages is not supported in Publish Online. I recommend submitting a feature request on InDesign UserVoice: https://adobe.ly/3FSF0Ja. If you do, please share the link here so others who are interested can upvote it.
