Question

Adding image to text box in InDesign

How can I make an inserted image to a text box move with existing text rather than causing my existing text to move with the image?

I've added a screen shot to show my dilemma. I would like the word "ROWAN" to stay at the top of my text box and the inserted "New!" image to move outside of the text box at the top when inserted. Basically, I don't want my inserted image to affect any of my existing text or shift it in any way.

I don't know if this makes any difference, but the image is being flowed in from Easy Catalog plug in.

Thank you!

Is this what you need?

Anchor it or place it inline.

Thank you. I'm still have the issue of the placed image not breaking the text box at the top and text moving down to accommodate the image. Any suggestions?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
