Adobe In-Design 2023 V18 Can't change text color on text moved from another document.

I often move pages from one in-design file to the other using the move pages tool. When I did this in the latest version some of the text was invisible. I could select it, but I could not change the color or make it visible. I had to re-type it all to get it to work.

In fact it happens when i try to copy the text block and paste it into another document.
