Question

Adobe indesign artwork export fine on some computers and not others

In my studio one of my colleges is having trouble exporting a piece of artwork using PASS4PRESS, exports fine an interactive but when it come sto print it never gets passed 18% both of PASS4PRESS and Quality presets. But the strangest thing is that when we try it on other computers in the studio it works fine.

As it works fine on other computers it isn't a links issue. only difference is the computer with the issue is an intel core i7 and the others are intel core i9. There is plenty of memore and RAM on the i7 too so that can't be the problem, plus all update are all installed too.

Anyone with any ides why this happens?

Hi @sheenam65288813,

Just checking in if you were able to resolve the issue after clearing cache, preferences, or disabling background export as suggested by the community experts? Let us know how it went or if you still need help. We're here for you! ^AR

When you say "artwork", are you referring to the InDesign file or some other file placed in InDesign?

When you say "interactive", are you referring to a PDF?

Are you trying to use a PDF/X setting for print?

Hi @sheenam65288813 , Did you try deleting Caches and Preferences on the problem computer? See @Mike Witherell ’s link

Hello Sheenam

Did you compare InDesign versions among these machines?

Probably not an i7/i9 thing.

Do the basics, tho: Empty all the %temp% folders and restart the machine. See if it happens again.
