Adobe Rendering Bug (versions 2025 and 2026):

Hello, recently I have been having some rendering issues with Adobe InDesign:

Problem: All elements become invisible once text boxes are applied (as well as a software crash)

Frames remain visible and intractable (selectable, editable, highlightable), but content does not render on the page.

(The issue persists across fresh installs and different files)

Corruptive element: Text Frames

Error Message: Preflight: Overset text (1 characters)

Device: macOS

Temporary fix: Creating a new document (however the bug returns)

Measures taken: Updated, quit and reinstalled the application, changed GPU/Zoom Performance and Display Performance settings, resized frames, changed text alignment and size, changed preview settings

Is there anything else I could try or do?

Thank you!

Try resetting preferences and caches:

Will it make a difference? Also, what's your macOS version?

- macOS 26.1

Thank you for the link. I have tried all of the steps and the images now render - however text still does not appear (a text error message is still present).

Please repost it as a separate issue in a new thread to avoid confusion. This could be possibly related to certain paragraph or character style settings.
