Question

After closing Indesign, and then open it and make changes the interactive PDF doesn't work anymore.

Hi everybody, may be somebody can help me. My problem is that when I make somes changes in In design my interactive PDF doesn't work anymore. Before the changes, the ineractive PDF worked perfect. It' only happen when I make some changes after I closed In Design. When I left the document open then there is no problem. Does anybody know how this come?

    Some PDF readers will break interactivity in a PDF, Make sure you ONLY use Acrobat to read the PDF. Apple Preview will corrupt interactive PDF just by opening them, you don't even need to save.

      I make a Indesign document with pop ups and links to social media and websites and a link for e-mail. After I finished I exported the document as a interactive PDF. In Adobe Acrobat Pro everything is working. I close the Indesign document. But if I open the Indesign document again and make some changes, then after exporting again as a interactive PDF, the Button actions doesn,t work anymore in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

      Use simple hyperlinks for external and internal links (text or a static image) multi-state buttons won't work on many devices, such as tablets and smartphones.

      What kind of interactivity do you have in your PDF?

      I use in the interactive pdf with links to websites and different social media, pop ups and e-mail. It's strange because if the first time exporting the indesign document to an interactive pdf everything worked fine. But after closing the indesign document and making some changes, then the interactive pdf doesn't work anymore.

      Is it repeatable behaviour? Or you mean you've exported 1st PDF some time ago and now you have a problem exporting again? 

       

      Just in case I'll ask this silly question - are you sure you are selecting INTERACTIVE PDF option when exporting?
