Hi everyone, 

 

Could there be any kind of incompatibility that causes issues when placing a .ai file created with Illustrator 2023 into an InDesign 2019 document?

    Hi @Xavi Sánchez ,

    what issues do you have exactly?

    Alternative way would be to use a PDF/X-4 exported/saved from Illustrator instead of the ai file.

    Thank you very much for the response.
    I don't have any current issues, I just wanted to know if it could potentially cause any problems, since we have always worked with the same version of both applications until now, and it's possible that, for certain reasons, we may receive files made with a newer version. I've been searching and haven't found any reference to this, I just wanted to make sure we won't have any surprises.
