"Align" disappeared from Control panel?

Why can't I find "align" automatically in my Control panel when selecting two or more objects since my last update (17.2.1 May 4 2022)?

I really hope this is either my stupidity not to see anything obvious, or something that is easily solved. It's not a good option having to open the Align toolbox each time.

If it is a new feature, please reverse asap!

Thanks!

Hi Klas5D47,

no idea. It's still in the Control panel of my InDesign version 17.2.1 on Windows 10.

Did you perhaps scale the user interface through your InDesign Preferences?

If so reset it to "Small".

"Another question is how I managed to resize the UI unintentionally"

Hi Klas,

Guesswork of the installer application what's the right GUI scaling for you?

Seriously, no idea.

I've seen the same happening after the latest 17.2 update: for some reason after updating it was one setting bigger. Most students of mine saw the same. Even wrote a blog message about this:

Hi Uwe,

Great stuff! That did it. Another question is how I managed to resize the UI unintentionally, but let's leave it with that...

😄
