Hi

I apologise if this doesn't make sense, I will try to explain what I am hoping to achieve as best I can.

I need to create a text box at the foot of a page that is linked to the following page.

This needs to be done in a way that will automatically delete the text box if the page it is linked to is deleted.

So, for example, let's say page 4 of an 8 page template document has text saying "Continue reading on page 5".

However, when the template is used to create a 4 page document, page 5 and onwards will be removed and there will be no requirement for the text on page 4, so it should be deleted automatically along with the corresponding page.

Can this be done?

It is to be used in the creation of hundreds of documents from a master template that will be worked on at different studios. The aim is to simplify process to ensure consistency across a range of products.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Gregg.

    Hi,

We are sorry to inform you that this not be possible in InDesign directly, however you may check this on our InDesign Scripting forum.

I would also request you to please share your feature request at our Adobe InDesign Feedback form. This is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product Management teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.

    Regards,

    Srishti
