Anyone else lost the function of the horizontal scroll button?

​@georgia_ella_e_0986 SOrry to hear that you are experiencing this. The first thing I would do, is reset your InDesign Workspace. Hopefully that clears it up under Wondow - Workspace - Reset Workspace

 

Failing that, look at your Scroll settings. I am on a Mac, so, under System Preferences - Appearance

 

Change to Always instead of Automatically based on mouse or trackpad to see if that solves your issue?

Thanks for reaching out and sorry you're running into this. Could you please share your exact InDesign version and OS version?

First, try zooming further into the affected document (Ctrl/Cmd +) and check whether the horizontal scrollbar appears. A similar case showed that the scrollbar can disappear when the document fits within the available window: https://adobe.ly/4hcNuuS

Since this only affects some projects, please also compare with a new document at the same zoom level. If you're using multiple/external monitors, test InDesign on the primary display only and update.

If the issue persists, reset your workspace and then, after backing up your settings, try resetting InDesign preferences:
