As soon as I type in something there is an overlap issue

I've already tried to create a text box for an hour and couldn't find a solution on the internet:

I created a huge text box and typed "hello" in there. As soon as I type in one letter, InDesign tells me there is an issue with the text overlapping. When I "adjust frame to content" (or whatever it is called in English), the text is shown at the very bottom of same text box.

As soon as I move the box further up the text disappears again and the same issue is shown by InDesign.

FYI, the text size is small enough, text box is big enough, the layer is on the top of everything, long story short, none of the common mistakes I could've made are noticable.

How can I solve this ? HELP

If jm levy's suggestion doesn't resolve the issue try: Object > Text Frame Options and tick Ignore Text Wrap.

Is your text aligned on baseline grid? Can you post a screenshot of the page, showing the baseline grid?

Your screenshot shows the grid, not the baseline grid, but I think that Derek is right. Hve a look to the text frame options and tick “Ignore text wrap”.

To show the baseline grid, you can use this shortcut: Alt Cmd < (on Mac), I think that it is Alt Ctrl < on Windows.
