Asian keyboard wont apply

So I have been trying to type in asian typefaces. when I go drom EDIT=>PREFERENCES=>TYPE and check the box saying: "enable japenease [I have a Japenease keyboard installed] font preview in 'find more.'" It shows a warning saying "this will require high network bandwidth. Restart your application to apply changes." So I saved my project and turned indesign off and turned it back it on again. When that didnt work I rebooted my computer and the warning is still there. How do I fix this and/or is my approach completely wrong, and how do I go about in typing in Japenease on indesign?

You don't need to do this. Presumably you already have Japanese fonts on your computer, so enable one. This has no effect on your typing. Select Japanese input (IME) in the system, or copy/paste Japanese from another app.
