hi, I am so tired of keying in an exact type size and as I mouse away, the size changes rapidly to something else. How can I stop this annoying feature? thanks!

This is not behavior I've ever seen. I was thinking that perhaps you were inadvertently dragging the pointer as you move away, but ID does not have the drag-adjust feature for type and leading that, say, Photoshop does.

I know what you are talking about. It's possible to scroll typesize values up or down with the scroll wheel or track pad, so I find it's very easy to accidentally cause what's happening after you type in a value, especially with the Apple Magic Mouse

That being said, I don't know any way to turn this behaviour off, sorry.

It's very selective, and only happens if you've used or are hovering on the list-select button; then the scroll wheel adjusts the field value. It does not happen if you click in the field and type a value. I'm not sure where the intersection of the OP's "keying in a value" and this unintended action occurs. But I've had apps with similar 'ghost' actions and it can be annoying if you can't train yourself not to "drag" your actions, in the general sense.

thanks. does illustrator have a drag adjust feature (it happens for me most often in this program). and if so, is there a way to disable it?

Hi Sarah:

Could you share some more detail on your workflow? What are you scaling? Type? Leading? Frames?
