Automating Table of Contents Page Insertion in InDesign

I'm looking to automate the process of inserting new pages into the table of contents when it's updated. I'm using InDesign's Primary Text Frame feature for text pages, which automatically adds pages as needed. However, when I update the table of contents, new pages aren't inserted into the TOC.

Did you try to turn off Preferences > Type > Smart Text Reflow > Limit to Primary Text Frames ?

My guess is you will still have to update table of contents from the menu. You did make a ToC Style preset, yes?

That did the trick and I had to check off the delete empty pages, I inserted a few empty pages, enough for the toc to have room, and after the toc auto flowed, deleted the empty pages

Thanks!
