When I placed a b/w dither PDF into InDesign, I now have black, white and gray dots!  Why does that happen?  I don't want the gray dots.  Help!!

Try saving as TIFF with LZW compression.

Very interesting!

I exported the InDesign file as a PDF.

Gray dots are gone!  Ummmm...I guess it is not WYSIWYG.

Thx  🙂

A bitmap mode image cannot have any gray pixels by definition. The only question was what was in the original PDF that was placed.

@Dave Creamer of IDEAS

I think PDF file is somehow involved - not JPEG?

I edited my reply to remove reference to JPEG.

However, we don't know the color mode of the PDF.
