Hi guys, I've got a job recruitment task - design banner 6meter x 3meter, that's the first time I am doing such a big format.

I never realized that in InDesign the max size is 548.64 cm, because it's only recruitment task the project doesn't exist in reality,

which means I cant ask printers how they want the file to be prepared. Somehow I have to show that I can present it ready to print in a proper way.

Can anyone explain to  me how to create such a big format ??

Just scale it down to a percentage that works for you. If there’s images involved make sure they’re high enough resolution to handle the scaling up when printed.

Actually one more question, the max font size can be 1296pt, so let's say if my text on 50% scale is at 1000pt, but at 100% it will be x2 time of that, does that mean that I have to create outline for the text so it will allow it to go bigger before outputing PDF ?

You can scale a text frame with the Transform tool and get any point size, which will display in parenthesis in the size box.

But you could work at any scale, maybe 1:10?

Here I've set 5297pt.:
