Baseline shift value for objects?

Hello!

When changing the "baseline shift" of text, there is a value you can adjust up and down. It's only this way.

However, when putting an object (image etc.) into flow text, you can also shift the object up and down to adjust its position,  so it seems to also be kind of a baseline shift.

Nonetheless, this shift goes only by mouse and has no value. Being shifted, the object could even overlap a table cell edge.

Is there a (hidden) value somewhere, so I could sort of reset that shift to zero with?

If image is in a text flow then it's best to use anchored object and the settings, setting an object style works well and allows you to make global edits and tweaks in your layout.

Alterantively, I've found putting images in a table with the block of text it belongs to is also efficient as it keeps that block of text.

Sometimes anchored objects can behave strangely - but they allow for interesting workflows, like if the object should always be in the margin - and if it changes from left page to right page the image can flow so it's always in the margin.

It really depends on your layout and what works for you.

Thanks, what you wrote contains the solution without mentioning it. The options for anchored objects have that value I was looking for, called "Inline Y offset".

@Doc Maik

Object placed in text can be:

1) InLined - behaves like a glyph / character,

2) Anchored - glyph / character in the text is an anchor and object itself can be anywhere on the same Spread.
