Black and white photos in PDF have unwanted color tinge

Preparing a newsletter with both color and black and white images. The centrefold is all black and white images. When I'm exporting to PDF on the black and white centrefold, these images have an unwanted slightly reddish hue to them - but only when I open the PDF in IE (see below)

 

 

When I open it in Acrobat, the images look fine (see below)

 

 

I'm worried about how the eventual print job will turn out. 

 

All the images are converted to grayscale in Photoshop. 

 

Here are my current export settings in InDesign

    You can best check this with Acrobat Pro in Output Preview. This ought to tell you what colorspace the images end up as.

    I'd not trust ANY web-based PDF viewer over Adobe's own, especially not IE. (And Mac Preview either – unlikely but it manages to suck even more.)

    Thanks for the reply. I don't trust IE (or Edge, as it is now called) either. My fear is that - once I send this PDF out to folks - they will have Edge as their default viewer.
