Blank pages after Table of Contents

I'm creating a reflowable epub using Indesign CC. Everything exports fine and functions properly except that there are several blank pages between the table of contents and the beginning of the book. I have hidden characters turned on and don't see anything out of place. Any ideas of what could be causing this?
