block movement problem (delay/reaction)

Question

When I want to move a block with the keyboard arrows, InDesign only reacts when I move the mouse cursor. Do you have a solution?

Thanks for reaching out. I tested this on my side using InDesign version 20.5 on Windows, and the arrow key movement works normally. Could you let me know which version of InDesign you're using and your operating system? If you're not on the latest version, I'd recommend updating and giving it another try.

Also, do you have GPU Performance enabled in your preferences? If so, try disabling it and see if that makes any difference in how the blocks respond to the arrow keys. It would also be helpful to know if this issue is happening in just one specific document or across others as well.

Lastly, are you using an external monitor when you notice the delay?
