Blurry PSD links in IND

PSD links in IND file are coming in blurry. The links are clean, and display performance is high. Some PSD files have no issue and others are blurry. What else could be causing this?

You could try IDMLing - export your INDD file as IDML, open, save with a new name - do not overwrite your original file.

But if you have heavy PSD files - the opening part may take a bit - even an hour or more - depends on the number of links and their size / complexity.

Is this in your display only, or (for example) in exports to PDF?

What is the effective PPI of each image in InDesign (the Info panel will tell you). If you're importing relatively small images and placing them at large sizes, the effective PPI can be 100 or less, which equals "blurry."

It exports blurry too. PPI is 300.  PSD files are sized at 11x17, same doc size as IND.

So (just to nail it down) the PSDs are about 5100x3300 pixels in dimension? And Effective PPI says "300 ppi"?

What is the effective resolution of these links? Did you scale them up in the InDesign document?
