body text overlaps footnotes

This overlapping of text and footnotes happens from time to time (please see image). Text in image is yellow due to being highlighted as an error in PDF. Am running ID 18.2.1 w/CJK options turned on, Mac OS.
It's a problem because it doesn't show up as a preflight error and is hard to catch visually in a long book. Can cause problems due to text reflow, too.
Has anyone else seen this?
PS: This time, document looks as it should when I opened it again. Sometimes it requires moving the text box a little bit (then un-doing move).
